We’re in the midst of one of the largest economic downturns in the history of the world. Everyone is suffering in some form or another including animals. Unlike us animals don’t understand what’s going on and with the demand for pets on the increase and finances running low it will only be a matter of time before there are many more abandoned animals. Now is the time to take action and help the charities who look after and re-home abandoned pets. If you can spare anything, even if its your time to volunteer please see some of the fantastic charities that need your help below.
Thank you xxxx

What they do…
We're proud to be the oldest welfare charity around.
We were the first to introduce a law to protect animals and work hard to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering. Through our campaigns we raise standards of care, and awareness of issues, affecting animals today.
We rely on your support to help us push for changes in the law to improve the welfare of animals on farms, in labs, in the wild, in paddocks or our homes.
Through investigations and prosecutions we stand up to those who deliberately harm animals to send out a clear message - we will not tolerate animal abuse. Our highly trained officers tackle neglect and cruelty on every level working to stamp out animal cruelty a.
Animals can rely on us to rescue them when they need us most. To rehabilitate them wherever possible, provide them with the very best veterinary care and to find them new homes, either through rehoming or release.

Cats Protection is the UK's largest feline welfare charity. We help around 200,000 cats and kittens every year thanks in no small part to our network of over 230 volunteer-run branches and over 30 centres.
These include the charity's flagship adoption centre in Chelwood Gate, Sussex where our administrative offices can also be found.
Cats Protection is governed by a Board of Trustees which, in turn, is advised on its decisions by an Advisory Council of appointed representatives of the charity’s membership.
